I wasn't expecting them to be so narrow. They didn't work for the larger fish, but did put a single neon tetra in a bags. On the bright side, ALL my fish survived! If you are moving, I HIGHLY suggest using the bag method vs battery operated aerator!!! I moved 4 hours away and used the bags and put the bags in a styrofoam cooler.. when I moved a year ago I used the other method mentioned above and lost 3 of my huge cichlids ☹️ that I had for years. The bag and cooler method keeps the temperature more stable and it's way less stressful. Just fyi.It was great but not what I needed. It was too narrow. I thought 6 inches would be wide enough, but it wasn't.Transporting fishThe bags were too small so I threw them away and bought 10 x 18 inch bags. The bags are sturdy and a great value for the cost. I would recommend. So, I had a fish auction to go. I use 6 of the bags, one for each rabbit snail (3). The bags didn't leak. I actually even took one cori. I was afraid the cori might puncture the bag so I triple bagged it. He didn't puncture the bags. They help up nicely. Will buy again if I ever use them all up! Thank you.I used these when I moved 45 minutes away. They’re smaller bags, so I kept most fish alone, with the exception of 2-3 small schooling fish per bag. I put about 1.5 cups of water in and used a battery operated air pump to make sure they had enough oxygen. Rubber bands to seal and into a towel-lined cooler they went. Including breaking down the tank, cleaning it out, moving, and resetting up the tank, the fish were probably bagged for around 3-4 hours. Everyone did great and there were no leaks. Some of the bags had a bit of air loss, but that could have been my fault for not tying them up tight enough.I bought the bags to transport fish. The bags that didn’t already have leaks in them on arrival started leaking as soon as I put fish and them. Not sturdy enough to transport fish.Had i checked the description and reviews properly, I would not have wasted all this time and effort to return at a local UPS store. The bags are twice too small for the minimum required fish bag dimensions. Needs to be twice as tall. Impossible to bag, and even if you manage, the fish will run out of air and die for any type of extended transport over 2-3hours, please do not use these! The bag are the right thickness but 12" is not long ,they should be 20" long for caring live fish and i find their to expensive at .16 cent each .I pay .10 for the 20" long at a pet store near my place. Not satisfied and will never buy again. You should not advertise them as live fish caring bags.I use a ton of these bags for plants, snails and small fish like guppies. Not big enough for much more than that.Way too smallSon resistentes y tienen buen espesor. Me funcionan muy bien para transportar peces.
