Mini Countertop Wastebasket Trash Can with 60 Plastic Bags - Small Desktop Garbage Bin for Kitchen, Bathroom, Office & Dorm Room

I’ve been using this product all week and it is a practical little countertop trash can. I find the half gallon bags work just fine inside it for those who are curious, but I’m mainly reviewing this product because I’m so impressed with it. I chose one with the push lid, and the first thing I noticed was they included an extra plastic piece at the bottom in case something happened to the mechanism. How thoughtful! The mechanism itself works beautifully, however. The bin is also very portable. I was afraid of moving it because the inner bin might’ve fallen out, but it is secure inside the outer bin and quite fit for travel. All in all it’s worth the price and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a second one if I needed it. It should be a $5 item, not $16-$18. I like it for what it is but paid way too much.I love this little trash bin. I got it for my desk at work after they took away all of our individual trash bins. It’s perfect for my gum wrappers and everyday bits of garbage. Perfect!This is so cute for areas where you have tiny messes. I use this to sweep nail dust, nail tips, cotton balls, etc into and it works fine. I was afraid the dust would mess up the push top function but it doesn’t. Still works and doesn’t take up a lot of space at my desk. The bags hold up to the strong acetone and alcohol that is normally on my cotton balls and lint free nail wipes. I’m glad o got it.I use this for my “weeding” trash bin while making Cricut Crafts. I made a beautiful vinyl saying for the front to spruce it up. The size is perfect as its not too big and I’m able to work comfortably with the little trash bin in my work space. It comes with trash bags which is nice. You can buy additional rolls of trash bags, but this comes with 3 rolls and it will last a long time if you’re using it for small craft projects such as I am.I got this to put by my sewing machine for cut threads and fabric trimmings. How nice to not have little pieces of stuff all over my table and the surrounding carpet! The little bags that come with this wastebasket are just the right size, too. This is a great addition to any craft table or desk or anyplace where there is a lot of tiny pieces of trash.Both a pro and con: the outer white cover slips off easily so you have to pinch hold it when trying to move it or lift it. On the other hand, if you decide to use just the brown bin, you have that option.As far as I can see there are 2 different versions available.1) Open top which I can't comment on as that is not the one I bought.2) This one has a lid. All you have to do is tap the lid and it opens. At first I struggled to get the inner plastic bin out but soon found the knack. Just open the lid and you will see little brown "tabs" inside slots on both sides of the coloured plastic shell. Just press those in at the same time then lift the outer shell. The inside bin is left behind.I must admit that the opening is a little smaller than I would have liked as I use this as a kitchen worktop food waste bin. But that is on me - they give the measurements in the description. I just didn't bother double checking. But the unit itself is so smart and compact that decided to keep it and I use it every day.UPDATE. I have just deducted two stars as one of the little tabs has broken less than a year after purchase. The bin is still usable but not as stable as it used to be. I expected better durability from a product that is designed for daily use.I have a small bathroom where I can't have a bin on the floor and this fits perfectly on the counter top. Just beware that the inner bin is brown and not black. With the lid you will not see that. There were no plastic bags with my purchase which I don't mind as you really don't need to add more plastic waste to mother nature.Extremely pleased with this little plastic bin. The inside bit slides out of the outer shell, and there were little bags provided which was a bonus. I’ve got it on my bedside table, which will be really handy as the main bedroom bin is across the room. I have mobility problems so this saves me getting upThe trash can itself seems to be OK. However, in the name of the product it clearly said that 60 plastic bags were also included. Not a single bag was actually included in the package I received. Perhaps information on the product has to be amended to be accurate. Not worth the money without the bags. Disappointing...Colour matches my bedroom perfect, the little bags are a great little touch. The outer case doesn't clip to the inside bin very well so when you pick it up the bottom falls out which is a little annoying but it does the job and isn't too big. Good purchase!
